Terms of Service
 
1.  Use the Heritage Order Form:  A completed order form will ensure that all of the required information is included to complete your order quickly and successfully.  It is important that your dealer name and dealer information be included on each order form.  For business card orders without the quantity indicated we will process your order and print 1000 cards. We will contact you if the quantity has not been specified on other items.
 
2.Questions with your order:  Due to the speed in which your order will be processed, if there are any questions regarding your order (ie; unable to read, poor artwork, etc.) we will hold the order until the following morning when a customer service representative will contact you.  After the question has been answered your order will be put back into process.

 

3.Re-Print Policy:  If we have made an error on your order, return your order within 30 days and we will reprint your order at no charge.  Reprints cannot be processed after 30 days from the time your order was completed.  Save the file card from the original order and attach the corrected sample as we will reference the original order.

 

4.Use Selected Layouts:  Beside each business card sample in the Heritage catalog, there is a Layout number.  That number refers to the arrangement of the Main Line(s) and Body Copy.  If you select one of the layouts in the catalog we can guarantee that your order will be accurately printed with the same layout you specified.  Your copy needs to be legible and clear.

 

5.Art Work:  Art work sent with orders is digitally scanned and not camera shot or pasted.  Art work with 2 or more colors needs to be color separated.   Please include a composite of the art work/card for printing purposes.  When submitting artwork please include the appropriate border, crop marks and registration marks around the artwork.  Do not send negatives as artwork.  If you do not want your artwork cut, please specify on the order form.

 

6.Screens:  Any Heritage Stock art logo which isn’t already screened can be screened to the percentage of your choice.  We cannot guarantee high quality scanning from printed raised ink, screens or poor artwork.  If you supply the art work and want it screened – supply a solid of the art and we’ll screen it for you.  Call if you have any questions.  Due to the variety of equipment on the market, we cannot match a pre-printed screen; you must specify the percentage of the screen you desire.  Additional charges apply, see add’l charges section for more information.

 

7.Large Art Boards:  Do not send large art boards or art in any format larger than 8 ½ x 11.

 

8.Changes or Cancellations:  We will do everything possible to assist you if you need to change or cancel an order.  However, due to the speed in which your order will be processed and delivered, some orders will be difficult to change or cancel.

 

9.Heritage File Card:  Save your Heritage File Card.  It is for your re-ordering purposes.  We will retain a digitized copy of your order for as long as we can.  Use of the file card ensures duplication of layout, information and clarity.

 

10.Blank Customer Supplied Stock:  Make sure to check” under the card stock section on the order form. Clearly identify the stock with your name and phone and indicate for which order the customer stock is supplied.  Please furnish an additional 10% of the customer stock to allow for set-up.   Include 15% extra if there is printing on the back.  A stock cutting charge applies if stock is not to press sheet size.  Call for instructions if the stock you are supplying is for a foiling or embossing order.

 

11.Pre-printed Customer Supplied Stock:  The above instructions apply.  Because our finishing equipment (slitters) are locked in and unable to adjust, the layout format supplied is important.  Check with a customer service representative for the layout that works with your print project.

 

12.Abbreviations:  When setting an order, our primary policy is to follow your copy, however, we reserve the right to abbreviate or spell out such information as street names, cities, states and titles.  This is done so we can achieve the best possible appearance on your order. 

 

13.Turn around:   Turn around is defined as the number of working days in our shop.

 

14.Margins:  Our standard margins are listed below – we try to be consistent to this as much as possible.  When art is supplied we will follow your layout but reserve the right to increase the margins if necessary.

                Business Cards – 3 ½ x 2”…...1/4” on sides and 3/16” on top and bottom

                Letterhead – 8 ½ x 11”………..5/8” on each side

                Envelopes – 9 ½ x 4 1-8”……..3/8” on each side

 

15.PMS Colors:  You must specify the exact PMS # for your order.  Business Cards are priced separately from stationery.  All PMS colors are based on uncoated samples from the Pantone Matching System book (glosskote excluded).

 

16.Price Quotes:  If you have an unusually large order, or just an unusual order, a customer service representative will be happy to help.  Any quote over the phone is simply an estimate.  When we actually receive the order you will be advised of any price adjustments before the order is processed.  For an accurate “ in writing” quote, mail us a sample or fax the sample/sketch identifying color separations, quantity, etc.

 

17. Master Card Runs:  Master Card Runs are perfect for your large repeat customers or those who have something special about their card that will cost extra every time they order.  Master Card Runs are also helpful for critical registration color.  Your customer can have imprints in quantities of 250’s, 500’s and 1000’s.  We print a master card run and hold (at no additional charge) the stock here for imprinting.  You can call anytime for a computerized inventory of your master card run.  We will notify you when your master card stock reaches a minimum level.

 

18.Two-Sided Business Cards:  For spot color orders, the back of business cards will be printed with a raised printing unless otherwise indicated.  For full color orders, the back of business cards will be printed with flat ink. 

 

19. Electronic Output of Artwork:  We are glad to supply you with an output of Heritage stock art.  Most art work was created and/or saved for use on a business card.  The cost per piece is listed in the additional pricing section.

 

20.Foil and Blind Embossing:  The prices for foiling and embossing are for jobs that do not require precision registration.  In most cases, orders with foiling/ embossing in precision registration with printing can only be printed as a master run with a minimum quantity of 5,000.  For jobs with precision registration, please supply a previously printed sample or a sketch for a quote.  An additional charge applies for foil colors other than our standard colors.  Because our foil vendor is unable, we are unable to guarantee foiled stationery to withstand the heat of laser printers. Call for a quote if a multi-level die is necessary.

 

21.Electronically submitting orders or artwork:  Online ordering is available at our website; www.HeritageDelivers.com.  See the website for more information.  We strongly recommend submitting Ready-to-Print PDF files.  We will proceed with printing Ready-to-Print PDF files without hardcopy of the file.  However, a hard copy is required when processing native files.

 

22.Quantity Order:  A quantity order is defined as 5000 or more.

 

23. Delays:  We apologize for any order that may be delayed due to a press or a typesetting difficulty.  If an order can not be shipped the day it is scheduled, a customer service representative will call you.

 

24.Scanning Type:  Due to quality and re-ordering considerations we will re-set type when possible.  If you do not want us to re-set the type for your order and instead scan your text, you must specify this on the order form.  Write SCAN ALL, DO NOT RESET, etc, if you want us to scan text which you supply.

 

25. “THE CHEAP CARD”:  If the order exceeds the guidelines below, the order will be processed and priced as a regular business card; black ink on Heritage White Bristol.  Any TWO type styles are available. Unless indicated, type 133-12pt. will be used a mainline and type style 125-8pt. will be used as body copy.  You must put “Cheap Card” in the stock field on the order form.  RUSH SERVICES ARE NOT AVAILABLE (5 working days).  If electronic file is supplied it must be a PDF File.

26.E-mail & Internet Addresses:  E-mail, websites or any internet information must be legibly written.  As you are well aware, this information is often difficult to read, especially when faxed.  When it comes to upper case and lower case we will follow your copy as is (upper & lower case, all lower case, all upper case, etc.)  Please take special care to clearly write or type this information.

 

27.Stationery:  Many laser printers and copy machines generate enough heat to melt standard thermographic powders.  All raised printed letterhead and envelopes are printed using laser safe powder – at no extra charge.  Laser Safe powder (except with gold ink or large solid areas) are guaranteed in all laser printers and copy machines.  Flat printing on Stationery is available at no additional charge.

 

28.Holiday Schedule:  Heritage will be closed for the following days.  We will advertise if we are closed and extending the holiday beyond the following days:

New Year’s Day  ♦ Memorial Day  ♦ July 4th  ♦ Labor Day  ♦ Thanksgiving  ♦ Christmas

 

29.Rejection Clause:  We reserve the right to refuse any order that we deem to be objectionable.

 

30.Payment Terms:  For established account with approved Heritage credit application on file, open accounts are net 30 days.   A credit card can also be kept on file and used when placing orders.
